Robert and Joanne Simpson Award Medal

Dr. Neil Frank and Dr.Bob Sheets will be awarded the Robert and Joanne Simpson medal at the 2015 National Tropical Weather Conference.  The medal is awarded to those who have outstanding contributions to the field of tropical meteorology and preparedness.  Congratulations to Dr. Frank and Mr. Sheets for all their work.

Dr. Holly Gilbert talks Solar Storms

Dr. Gilbert is Chief of the Solar Physics Laboratory in the Heliophysics Science Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. She has extensive experience studying the solar atmosphere and phenomena associated with coronal mass ejections (CMEs), such as prominences and global waves, which lead to space weather.

 

The National Tropical Weather Conference will provide certificates to NWA and AMS broadcast members to document their participation in the conference.
